Blessed Be The Lord

My God is a God of grace,
He turns His face unto me.
He is the Great Gardener,
Whilst I am only a lowly vessel
filled with dirt.
He reaps, and sows, and planteth seeds,
My Lord hath blessed me with
new birth.
Oh, forever will I sing to His praise!
With a renewed will, filled with mirth.
He hath plucked away all mine old weeds,
Yet will I still mourn over mine filth.
O Gracious One,
who sent His Son,
I thank Thee for all the works that
Thou hast done.
For Christ suffered from womb to tomb,
that I may live for all eternity.
In Thy sheer mercy,
He took the room that was my destiny.
Oh Father, I mourn over my sin and wicked heart,
I pray, may Thou never depart from me.
For if left to myself,
I would be like the one that lieth
down in the midst of the sea.
The Lord of lords hath
called mine name,
and brought me out of mine
ashamed past.
He hath changed mine heart,
brought me into His flock,
into the only covenant that truly lasts.
I thank Thee Lord,
for opening mine eyes.
May Thou keepest me.
Keep me in the fear of the Lord,
all day and all night,
that I may be like the wise,
who walk by faith and not by sight.
